This is HOME for the Best Week of the Year!
“At the end of Gramma Cammp© week, my old body aches.
It’s a good ache, the kind that comes when you know you’ve done something worthwhile.
Wishing good aches to all of you! - ”
home is where you make it
This Home Page and the pages that follow are places devoted to Grammas like me who want to create something special for their grand kids and themselves.
Something that creates forever memories.
Something that your grand kids will talk about long after you're gone (a long, long time from now).
Something that your grand kids might just create for their own grand kids!
Something that could be a family tradition.
Seriously something.
I call it Gramma Cammp© and it's the best week of the year!
Why this site exists
Using my own, and somewhat accidental, experience as a guide, this site and partner workbook (Gramma Guide©) are designed to help my fellow Grammas create their own version of Gramma Cammp©.
There's a lot here. You should start by clicking through the web site to get a sense of things.
The web site and partner Gramma Guide© workbook are organized into four parts:
Each of the four parts has four steps, which are completed through a series of action Pages. All four parts and action Pages are organized in packets and available for digital download as Gramma Guides© from the site's store. You can download them one part at a time or you can download the complete Gramma Guide©.
how much time will this take
It will take some time to complete the action Pages in all four parts. How much time? I can't say for sure -- but, liberally speaking, I'd recommend you give yourself a "go-live" date and work backwards about four to eight weeks from that date. Then, see how it goes. That's not to suggest you can't spread that four weeks of Gramma Cammp© building time over four to eight months -- it's up to you and how much time you have. But, you should give yourself a Gramma Cammp© GO date and work toward that date.
Whatever your approach, make sure to have fun!
what's this gonna cost?
Actual cost will depend on the activities you choose, the location you choose, and how many days you hold your Cammp. The Gramma Guide that helps you along is likely one of your smaller expenses. You have two choices.
- You can download the Complete Guide for $18 (or at sale price, if active). This is the most economical choice.
- You can download each of the four-parts in the Gramma Guide© one at a time. The cost range is $4 - $6 each, depending on content.
and, a couple other (well six, actually) things
- Before you start work on your own Gramma Cammp©, click through the web site. Read the overviews -- they give you a good sense of where you're headed and why.
- I think it makes good sense for everyone to start with and complete the four steps in the Dreaming WHY pages! Then, if you're crunched for time, skip past the pages you think you won't need. For example, you may know your grand kids really well and can skip the Dreaming WHO Pages! You make the call.
- If you have trouble with the idea of being a kid again or your childhood is uncomfortable to recall, skip ahead to the last two questions in the Dreaming WHY Pages and use just those answers to complete those Pages.
- I include my own examples as a visual aid, not a suggested rule. You are welcome to copy what I did -- but, remember to be true to yourself and do what fits best for you! It's YOUR Gramma Cammp©.
- Gramma Resources are available here. I use all of these, especially when I'm stuck for activity ideas. Try them.
- I will add more to this site in the coming months. Check back every now and then to see if you can use anything I've added for your Cammp©.
This web site and Gramma Guides© are for YOU.
Best,
Gramma Linda
You go, Gramma! Make some good memories.
