WHEN is relative to . . . um a lot of things.

Camp.

That means summer, right? Well, maybe.

Often it does, especially if you live in colder climates. But there are camps going on around us all year long – winter, fall and spring - regardless of climate.

When to hold a camp depends on scheduling opportunities and the camp's purpose.

so many camps; so little time

For readers and writers, for example, camps can be retreat-like, in the middle of the woods in the dead of winter or in the middle of summer at the lake or the beach. For outdoor enthusiasts, camps can be built around a fireplace and some snowshoes, cross-country skis or hiking boots. People who love crafts, theater or concerts can pretty much plan a camp any time of the year.

Then, there’s the question of how long should the camp last?

how many days or nights

Week long overnight camps are common during the summer months when school is out, but busy schedules sometimes dictate weekend camps. Day camps are equally popular – especially for younger grand kids. Sometimes spreading out a camp for one day a week over several weeks is a better option than a week long or weekend overnight camp.

Dreaming WHERE is the last step in your Dreaming Pages. To help you complete it, you'll reference the spreadsheet you created in your Dreaming WHO Pages. Then, you'll do some thinking.

For all kinds of reasons, my Gramma Cammp© has always been for a week in the summer -- typically during or following the 4th of July. You can read more about how I chose that date and length in your Dreaming WHEN Pages.

Go get 'em, Gramma!
