Where you decide to hold your Gramma Cammp© depends on several things. So far, I’ve held Gramma Cammp© at my home. That's turned out to be a really good decision for me. It doesn't mean we stay at home -- we go places, we do things in other places, but my house is our home base. We start there . . . and we always return to Gramma's house.

My grand girls are comfortable in my home and know their way around because of plenty of sleepovers and family dinners throughout the year. But, things change when it's time for Gramma Cammp© -- the place is deliberately transformed with signs and special corners and new and unusual supplies. Our yard has a tent up the entire week and it's not unusual to see a lemonade stand.

Gramma's house doesn't look the same during Gramma Cammp© time and that's a good thing. It makes it special.

And, there's another reason.

Hosting Gramma Cammp© at my house fills it with long-lasting giggles and smiles. Silly string on the garage walls and chalk drawings on the garage floor remain for the year. Why? Because when I go to my car, I remember. When I put out the recycle, I remember. When I take out the garbage, I remember. I remember some of the best things in life -- my grand girls and our Gramma Cammp©.

choices may be limiting, but make the best of them

Location was also an easy decision for me -- I don’t have a Lake Cabin and when I started Gramma Cammp©, traveling wasn’t an option for us. To make your Gramma Cammp© a really good thing, you have some thinking to do and decisions to make about WHERE to hold your Cammp©.
